Coconut Grove Gets New Label

The Miami Herald is reporting that the Coconut Grove’s Business Improvement District (BID) is trying to change my office neighborhood's slogan to, “Welcome to the Nearby Republic of Coconut Grove Est. 1873.”  

I agree that the grove has become sleepy since I lived here in 1993.  I also agree that Coconut Grove is showing new signs of life.  Two large tenants rented space.  Restaurants and other services are opening to support the employees.

Call me and I will take you a favorite Grove spot for lunch.
