Patent Reform in the State of the Union

Patently-O provided a list of pending patent legislation in 2013.

The leading candidate appears to be the "Innovation Act," which was introduced by Representative Bob Goodlatte (R-VA) as H.R. 3309.  The bill passed the House and is awaiting review in the Senate.  Text and status of the bill are available online.  A useful summary was provided by Patently-O.

The Innovation Act is targeted at hindering patent trolls.  Changes include the following:
